Marin Headlands, California

At Least they Warn You

But wow, is that a long light to sit through. It does eventually change, and when you find the long, one-lane tunnel a couple hundred yards ahead, it all makes sense.

So with up to five minutes to think about it, did you walk over and pick up the old sign in the grass to add to your collection?

I've sat for longer in some of the tunnels under the Alps late at night when things are pretty casual and the repair work only somewhat corresponds to the lights available. The end result was two way traffic in a one-way tunnel. It worked out.
