Thagt's a pretty good summary of this Fall -- some pretty yellows coexisting with bare trees, brown trees, and trees that still haven't figured out what to do. I thought you didn't do fall colors?

Scott,

When they're as subtle as this year's, fall colors get interesting.

Carl.
maybe you saw my "answer" to your picture "late fall".
Although I love seasons and colors, I got a kind of constraint to take these pictures.
And if I do all the same, I'm looking deperate for a kind of abstraction like b/w.
What do you think, are there pictures made only for our eyes, but not for our the camera?

Oh definitely. In fact it may be that "having the eye" of a photographer primarily consists of recognizing the difference between what looks good in person and what makes a good picture.

I've also done a lot of b&w work to subdue or abstract autumn colors. If you get a chance take a look at the "Southern Mountains" gallery on my website, among others.
