Storm Coming In

Waterbury, Connecticut

A seagull cruises inland, twenty miles upriver from the Sound, with an overcast sky dark enough to keep the automatic lights on. Later, twenty miles farther up river, a second front churns in from the north. More snow on the way

Torrington, Connecticut

Good morning Carl. Here in Essex county we are receiving about 6 inches of that powdery snow so the shoveling will be light! I don't recall having snow on the ground for this long before around here.

Hi Robert,

We've had just about six inches of powdery (20° F) snow but now around noon it is turning to sleet and freezing rain. That's going to turn into a real mess.
