Carl, I definitely feel with you! We also had a really cold and wet June/July and are still waiting for that typical bavarian summer high-pressure-area that should bring blue sky and nice temperatures for two weeks...

Tomorrow is our annual "Burning Thumsee" festival with a concert of the symphonic orchestra and fireworks, but it's still not sure if we will hear and see it in dry weather (or not hear/see it at all)

Markus, at the same moment, there is a drought and record high temperatures in Texas, near record low temperatures in Nebraska, and yesterday the highest temperature ever recorded in Seattle (103°!!). As I type, the national weather service is interrupting the radio broadcast of the evening news with a tornado warning for western Connecticut...

Good luck with your festival. We're supposed to go to an outdoor poetry reading/garden party on Sunday. We'll see.
