St. Mary's

Brushton, New York

Brushton is very small and very rural. It's located above the Adirondack Park, hardly ten miles from the Canada border. It's surrounded by farmland. I've seen small shrines encased in protective enclosures at churches and private houses in rough urban areas, but it seemed out of place in this bucolic spot. Maybe the enclosure is intended purely as decoration.
